What can be eating the leaves of my purple corn flowers? I used a powder made for flowers to dust them and still no relief. None of the other surrounding flowers are affected. Could it be an animal rather than insects?

Echinacea (purple cone flower) is generally pest free, but the plants are sometimes attacked by leafhoppers, grasshoppers, and a nematode (Pratylenchus penetrans). I wish I could help you narrow down the enemies and determine what pest is munching on your plant!
