| Arborvitae need full sun all day or full direct sun for a minimum of about six hours including noon. In less sun they soon grow thin and sparse. They are considered medium growers -- most evergreens are slower growing than these. They do best in organic, evenly moist but well drained soil but are fairly tolerant of a range of conditions. |
