This is without a doubt a different type of question than you have ever received, yet none the less I am looking for direction. I have not only been with home depot for more than 13 years, my background is in horticulture and not so as to pat myself on the back but few peolple have the background and knowledge that I have. Too top it off I may have to leave home depot for health reasons and I would like to somehow stay involved. How are people like yourself choosen to be in the position that you are in. I would like to apply. Please reply, Thank You Harrison M. Wood store 2412

This is absolutely the first time I have seen this question! But, the people who answer the questions for the Q&A actually work for the National Gardening Association, not Home Depot.

If I remember correctly, we were all writing Regional Reports every other week for the NGA web site and were invited to do the Q&A when the service started many years ago.

I just checked the "jobs" section of the NGA web site and there is nothing listed there right now. Here is the url in case you want to check from time to time; it also has basic contact information for the NGA.

You might want to check through your state trade associations, Master Gardeners, local or regional garden writers, and area nurseries to see if they know of any openings as well. Best of luck with your search!
