Deer Resistant Plants and Bushes - Knowledgebase Question

What are the best type of plants both annual and perennial and bushes that are somewhat deer resistant. I say somewhat since it seems if they are hungary they will eat anything.

In my experience the best defense is really a tall fence, but you can try to plant things that are less attractive to them. As you have already realized, there is no truly "safe" list. The following web site from Cornell University includes some preventive measures to try. At the bottom of the page are some references to plant lists. The list from West Virginia in particular should work very well for your zone. You may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly because it is so long.
