The grass in my backyard is patchy in color. There seems to be alot of areas that are a very light color green. Then other areas are a darker green. Is there something to put down to darken the color?

You can feed your lawn to help it green up. Use a fertilizer with a 3-1-2 ratio of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium (the 3 numbers on the fertilizer package). If there are dead spots in your lawn you can rake out the dead grass and reseed the bare areas. In a few weeks you should see a uniform green throughout your lawn.

Best wishes with your landscape!
