I have a male and female plant that will bear a few grapes but not many. They are in a shady spot on an overhead runner. The vines are old and I trim them back good every fall. I use 10-10-10 fertilizer in the spring and fall. What am I doing wrong?

I believe the problem is that your grapevines are not getting enough direct sunshine. Muscadines require full sun, well-drained soil, and a soil pH around 6.5. If you want fruit set, you'll either need to move your plants to a sunnier spot or do some tree pruning so they get more sunshine where they are.

Best wishes with your landscape.
