Papaya trees need a constant supply of nutrients so it is suggested you feed lightly, but often. A typical application schedule with a fertilizer such as 14-14-14 begins with 4 oz per plant per month during the third through fifth months after planting. This rate increases to 6 oz every five weeks after the sixth month.

Best wishes with your papaya tree!
