How do I revive an aloe vera plant that was huge but is now mostly dead?

I'd first try to determine whether or not it is in decline or it is dead. Aloe vera can go for months without water. It simply begins to wither away. Flood the soil with water and give it a chance to rehydrate. If it does not rehydrate, there may be a root rot problem - too much water, perhaps? Sometimes digging the plant and breaking off the oldest parts, then replanting the roots and a few remaining leaves will shock the plant into growing again.

Hope so!
