My gardenia has yellow & green leaves with Buds, and
more yellow leaves. I feed with liquid miracle grow. I heard to give it tea. Is that true? It is planted in mostly shade, but it does get 5 to6 pm sun.

It's natural for the older leaves of gardenias to turn yellow and drop off. New leaves will grow in their places. To keep your plant tidy, and to encourage new growth, pinch back the growing tips of the stems. If the yellowing is on both the old and the new leaves, it could be a soil moisture problem. Gardenias love moist (but not soggy wet) soil. Try watering deeply every 2-3 days and feeding every 2-weeks with a half-strength dilution of liquid Miracle-Gro.

Good luck with your gardenia!
