How do I get my anthuriums to bloom? They lost their blooms and I'd like to get them back. Please advise. Thank you. |
Anthuriums are very difficult to grow and bloom under home conditions. They need heat (temperatures between 80 and 90 in the day, a bit cooler at night) and high humidity and indirect but very bright light to grow their best. (Think of jungle conditions.) Fertilize regularly from spring through fall with a water soluble fertilizer for house plants per the label directions. Water when the soil begins to dry slightly, do not let the plant dry out completely and at the same time, do not keep it sopping wet all the time. I hope this helps, but please do not be disappointed if you are not able to rebloom it. Most people handle anthuriums as they would a gift bouquet and discard it when the bloom fades. |
