We have a dog. He pees all over everything, of course. There is one certain spot (a tree close to our deck) he goes more often. It tends to smell. Is there anything I can plant or spread on the ground that will help with the smell?

There are enzyme-based odor eliminators sold at pet stores, although I don't know if they would be effective if your dog continues to pee in the same area. Your best bet might be to train your dog to go in an area further away! You might plant containers on your deck where you sit with highly aromatic plants, such as lavenders, salvias, rosemarys, scented geraniums. If you brush against the foliage it will release its scent, perhaps masking the doggy smell. Good luck!
