what causes new growth on tomatoes to be yellow? |
There are several possible causes for this to happen. It might be related to lack of hardening off prior to planting in the garden, accidental herbicide exposure (such as spray drift), a micronutrient deficiency, a lack of nitrogen, overfertilizing, or overwatering (soil should be slightly moist like a wrung out sponge, not soaking wet or sopping wet.) It might also be a disease or nematode problem. I would suggest you work with your local county extension to try to diagnose the problem more specifically and based on knowing that, decide how to proceed. I'm sorry you are having problems so early in the season. |
