I live in Salinas and have two dwarf Washington orange trees and during the recent frost that we endured they became damaged to the point that I nearly uprooted them, needles to say I never got around to it and noticed that they are slowly showing some green in their branches and even sprouted two leaves, they are small trees under 2ft tall and I was wondering if there is anything special I should do to help them. |
Green leaves are good signs! I'd wait a few more weeks to see if more leaves appear. If so, prune off anything that is obviously dead and wait for your little trees to recover from the frost. They should make up for the lost branches and stems later this summer. Best wishes with your citrus trees! |
