I recently read something somewhere about propogating Chrysanthemums is this possible, easy, and how would one go about doing so? |
You can increase your population of chrysanthemums by simply dividing the plant. After bloom, cut the foliage down to about 8 inches from the ground. In the winter, cover the plant with sawdust or mulch. In the spring when new stems just begin to grow, dig the entire plant and divide it so each of the new stems has some roots attached. Plant these new divisions and they'll each grow into a clump of chrysanthemum plants. You can do this over and over again until you have no more garden space for chrysanthemums! |
