I live in south florida and need some ideas for other plants. I have planted several rose bushes and one desert rose in a bed near the front door. I need suggestions regarding plants to put with the roses for color when they are not blooming.
Also what flowering shrub I could plant in the bed next to this one that runs the length of the house across the front. Something that would look good together with the rose bed and flowers.
Full sun for all. I also put in two rows of coral landscape pavers for these gardens. House is coral with white trim. Thank you!

Lorna,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

I like the many varieties of Salvia. One that works great with pink, red and white blooming roses is Salvia 'Mystic Spires'. Other options include lantana for roses with orange, coral or yellow blooms, and plumbago for pink, white and red roses.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
