I planted many bulbs last fall. I dug deep, mixed in bone meal, and this spring have much greenery, but 1 daffodil flower. Why are the other bulbs only giving me greens??? Thanks |
It's hard to determine, but here are some possibilities for you to consider: the bulbs may not have had sufficient stored energy to produce blooms, they may have been planted a little too late, weather conditions may not have warmed up soon enough, which allowed the foliage to pop, but then weather got too warm, too fast, so blooms didn't occur, or perhaps soil moisture was too wet or too dry. I'm sorry I can't be more precise! |
