any info on prpareing soil to plant Leyland Cypess trees and approx how far from house and or drive thanks. Vernon

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Rototill a large area to loosen the soil and then dig a hole 2 times the width of the root ball but not any deeper than the root ball. Add soil from planting hole to reset the plant, not compost or other soil. Water it in well and keep the root ball moist but not soggy wet. Don't plant the Leyland Cypress closer than about 15 feet from the driveway or home.
