| Yellowing leave can indicate too much or too little water or fertilizer, or not enough sunshine. In general, roses need 8 hours of sunshine every day. They like moist but well draining soils and are heavy feeders. Fish emulsion is a naturally derived fertilizer and should be okay for your plant as long as you are applying the correct amount at the frequency indicated on the label. I'd prune the roses back to encourage new growth and to remove the yellowing leaves. Prune the canes down to 12-18", to an outward facing bud where you want the new growth to emerge. New canes and leaves should appear in a few weeks. Best wishes with your rose bush! |
