I currently rent and are unable to have garden. I love tulips and would like to plant them in containers but do not know the growing instructions for containers.

Tulips will be quite happy in containers. Use a minimum 8" deep container and fill it with potting soil rather than garden soil. Set the bulbs twice as deep as they are wide with a minimum of 3" of space between bulbs. Tulip bulbs will be available in garden centers in September and October. Plant them as soon as they are available and set the pots outside so they can enjoy normal rainfall. In the spring they will bloom beautifully for you. Enjoy!
