The Q&A Archives: The Deer!

Question: What can I plant that the deer do not like and will not eat?

Answer: Unfortunately there are no fool proof lists for what deer will and will not eat. Deer learn to eat new things over time, and will change their diet if the browse pressure is severe. If you really have trouble with deer, the most reliable long term solution is a fence. Some gardeners also report success using the spray on repellents applied and reapplied per the label directions. Having said that, you may find the following lists helpful. (You will probably need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.)

I hope this gives you some ideas.
