We want to mount 2 window planter boxes on the front of our home. The exterior of our home is brick. What would be the best method to secure? The planters only came with 4 nail/screw holes. Should I drill into the brick or mount into the mortar. Thank you in advance for your advice. |
You need to drill holes in the brick and install several brackets to hold each window box. Make sure the window box is wide enough and deep enough to grow healthy plants -- typically height and width should be at least eight inches for successful growing. This means the window box will be very heavy when filled with moist soil and the plants so use sturdy brackets. |
