Borage is a wonderful annual herb. It is highly attractive to bees and other beneficial insects which is why it is such a good companion plant. It is also an edible herb, it is often used to enhance the flavor of lemonade, and, the flowers can be candied. An added bonus is deer, slugs, and Japanese Beetles don't seem to like it.
