Can I grow plants from a different hardiness zone than mine? - Knowledgebase Question

Hi I love butterfly blue delphinium, however, I live in a zone 10 and I believe this type of delphinium is from zones 6 and 7, Can I grow them in my garden?

The Sunbelt states are typically not conducive to them, though by keeping roots cool and shading from hot sun, some gardeners have had some success. If you love the plant, it might be worth the effort to try. Good luck!
