Can a hard freeze kill holly bushes or will they make it?

Hollies are able to withstand freezing weather, however they may be damaged by oscillating temperatures. The spring freezes this year damaged many plants, so you may see some new growth die back. Be patient and allow a month or so to see new growth starting again. Then trim off any dead branch tips.
