My rose buds are brown on the edges and as they are starting to open they are getting browner. I have given them rose food. Please help. |
Missy, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! This may be due to thrips, tiny insects feeding inside the buds. Orthene work well on them. It may also be due to a fungal blight because of frequent wetting from irrigation or rain. Avoid unnecessary wetting of buds and foliage and the disease blights of the petals will usually go away. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
