I left my snapdragons in my flower bed over fall and winter. They went to seed and now my flower bed has alot of new snapdragons. I like the flowers and have room for them but do I need to thin them or just leave them?

Although it is tempting to leave the snapdragons alone, I'd dig them up and thin them. They will probably be much too close to one another when they begin to mature and that will make them more prone to diseases. Wait until they are large enough to handle easily then dig them up and space them at least 6" apart. This will provide enough room for them to grow, yet the visual effect will be that of a carpet of snapdragons.

Enjoy!
