The Q&A Archives: Squirrels are feeding from my garden

Question: Squirrels are eating all my bulbs what chemical can I use besides covering the pots because some bulbs are planted in the bare ground. Please help!!!!

Answer: You may be able to deter squirrels by using the spray on repellents labeled for squirrels or by using a hot pepper wax spray. Or, dipping the bulbs in a rodent repellent such as Ropel prior to planting may help make them less attractive. Another method is to cover the soil surface with wire mesh such as chicken wire or old window screens until the bulbs emerge, then begin the sprays. I hope this gives you some ideas.
