I would like to know which of my house plants can be placed outside on my patio/deck for the spring/summer months.

I have many varieties of ferns, cacti, and philodedrons that I know of and several others that I cannot name without checking the book.

Most houseplants can be set out on a very shady porch for the summer once temperatures are reliably over 55 degrees. They need to be brought indoors in the fall while temperatures are still above 55 degrees to avoid temperature shocking them. You will also need to carefully inspect them for pests before you bring them back inside.
