I bought the tree, a semi dwarf yellow delicious, and it does not say anywhere if it self pollentating. Can you advise?

Golden Delicious is somewhat self fruitful, but it is recommended to have another apple cultivar available as a pollen source. This can be a nearby crabapple, wild apple or orchard type of apple. Keep in mind that if you live in a neighborhood with trees around you, you may not need to plant a second kind of apple -- there may be a suitable tree available nearby.
