You can plant hydrangea's in a pot, but the plants eventually get quite large. If you prune it back to keep it small, it probably won't flower. If you have a choice, plant it in the ground where it will get morning sun and afternoon shade. If that isn't an option, choose a large (15-gallon or larger) container. The roots will grow into the shape of the container so it doesn't matter whether it's tall and skinny or short and fat. Best wishes with your hydrangea! |
