Can you start a wisteria plant from cuttings?

Theoretically it is possible to do this, hardwood cuttings are recommended so it is too early in the season to try right now. At home, I think it is easier to propagate it by layering if you have the time available to wait for the roots to form. Here are instructions on how to do both. You may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.
