IS VIRGINIA CREEPER LIKE POISON IVY OR OTHER PLANTS THAT CAN HAVE A SEVERE SKIN REACTION WITH SOME PEOPLE?

Yes, I was very surprised to learn this. According to the University of California Davis toxicology listing, Parthenocissus tricuspidata (Boston ivy)and the closely related Virginica creeper (P. virginiana) can both cause problems if eaten or on skin. Here is the listing to check for yourself, they are both listed as class 3 and class 4. You may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.
