| Your plants will need to be transplanted into larger containers to accommodate their growth. The pot needs to provide space for their roots to expand as the foliage/stems grow. The larger volume also insulates the roots from excessive summer heat. And, the larger soil volume helps the soil stay moister longer. Tomatoes need at least a five gallon container, for example. |
