My fiddle leaf fig tree or plant has big brown spots on it almost like it has been burnt. New leaves are also effected. What could be wrong with it? |
New growth indicates that your plant is healthy and that's a good sign. Brown spots on leaves are usually caused by improper cultural practices - underwatering, watering with cold water, splashing water on the leaves, or too much sun. Your Fiddle Leaf Fig likes average household temperatures, bright light but not direct sunshine, and careful watering. Use tepid water and let the top of the soil dry out before you water again. Your plant will require a lot less water in the winter time than it does inthe summer time. Mist the leaves in the summer month. Try the above treatment and see if that doesn't improve things for your plant. |
