japanese tree - Knowledgebase Question

i purchased a japanese tree from your conroe texas store last night ( tamu ke vama ) is on the tag. however, there are no planting instructions or care guide and your people did not know. i need to know do i plant in morning sun and evening shade or vice versa or what. how do i care for this tree and how do i plant it

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Very strange about that plant tag. Those words don't ring a bell or show up in our database search. If the tree is a Japanese maple plant it with morning sun and afternoon shade. Plant it or any tree for that matter just a little shallower than it was in the container. This facilitates drainage and prevents the damaging mistake of planting too deep.
