What would cause our Oleander bushes to drop their leaves? They turn yellow and fall. They are blooming, but not heavy on blooms.

Thank you

Laura,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

It may be a root problem such as dry soil or soggy wet (poorly drained) soil. It may also be due to a late frost or hard winter freeze if you had one. You might contact your County Extension Office for other possibilities as they are your local experts on plant matters. Their contact information is:

3740 Stefani Road
Cantonment, FL 32533-7792
Phone (850) 475-5230

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
