My neightbor just had a fence installed and we spend alot of time on the back porch and want to hide the fence from our view. we're thinking some kind of shrubbery and small trees for birds to nest in also.

George,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

There are many plants to choose from for such a situation. Some of the ones that I would consider include 'Bright N Tight' Carolina Cherry Laurel, various types of holly, 'Little Gem' Magnolia, and dwarf southern wax myrtle.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
