Can you prune gardenias to fit between two windows for example?

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Yes you can prune gardenias to shape as long as you are not forcing them into a size less than about 50% of what the plant would otherwise be. Excessive pruning can reduce bloom especially in the pruned sections of the plant.
