HI. We recently cut down 2 huge pine trees and want to plant grass seed in a full sun area, my husband has heard we need to add lime to the soil or the grass seed won't grow. Help!
What's the correct info I need to grow the grass.

To find out whether or not you need to lime, you will have to run some basic soil tests. You can easily check the fertility to know how much fertilizer to use and also check the pH to find out how much lime is needed, if any. Your local Purdue county extension should be able to help you with the testing and interpreting the results. In the meantime, you may find some helpful information about lawn care at their web site. You may need to cut and paste the complete url into your browser to make it work correctly.
