What is a good vine (fast growing) for a shady location? Part of the year it is semi-deep shade and then in fall it gets afternoon sun.

If you want something fast, try grapes. They won't produce in the shade, but they'll grow by leaps and bounds. You can cut them way back each year and they'll grow higher and higher. Or, some Wisterias will tolerate shade, as will some Clematis. Why not try one or all of these to see which grows best for you?
