In full sunshine your Homestead verbena will grow 1 ft. in height, spreading to 3 ft.
in width. This wonderful plant tolerates drought and heat and thrives in average to rich soils. It is a rapid spreader and makes a beautiful groundcover, especially along walkways or around mailboxes. It can also be grown as a container plant. Cut back established clumps in the fall and mulch well to insure winter survival. If the stems are allowed contact with the ground, they will root and become new plants. So yes, they will cover several feet in a garden bed.

Enjoy!
