Roseann, I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up! Rabbits can be kept at bay by fencing around the plants with a small mesh wire. Spraying a repellent on the plants can also discourage them. Hot pepper products work quite well and will not hurt the rabbits any more that last night's nachos hurt my mouth...come to think of it, they did burn like fire! Here is a site that sells a repellent called "Hare-Less". Check it out, I think you'll find it humorous: http://nottonightdeer.com/web/... The following Internet company also offers products for repelling rabbits and other varmints: Whatever Works 1-800-49WORKS (800-499-6757) http://www.whateverworks.com/ Type "rabbits" in the search box at their website. Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon! |
