Million Bells is a petunia like plant with tons of blooms all summer long. Dianthus is a natural for the area, or, thrift is an attractive plant with grasslike foliage and tall flowering stems sporting a pink puff. You might even consider planting dwarf daylilies in the strip. These are evergreen and bloom from spring to fall in all kinds of colors.
