I'm looking to redo my front yard's strip going down my path to the door. It's roughly 1 foot wide in most areas until it wraps to the drive-way where it get's square. I'm looking for a recommendation on what to get. Possibly low water idea as I live in Highland.Thanks.

Since the area is relatively small, you'll want to think small. Salvia is always a good choice for hot, dry areas. It has a mounded shape and will help soften the line of the walk. Million Bells is a petunia like plant with tons of blooms all summer long. Dianthus is a natural for the area, or, thrift is an attractive plant with grasslike foliage and tall flowering stems sporting a pink puff. You might even consider planting dwarf daylilies in the strip. These are evergreen and bloom from spring to fall in all kinds of colors.

Hope these suggestions are helpful!
