The Q&A Archives: perennials and landscaping

Question: what does decidous mean? Also how do you price a landscaping job?

Answer: Charlotte,

I am sorry for this delayed reply to your gardening question. The spring rush has brought a deluge of questions and we are working hard to catch up!

Deciduous means that the leaves fall of in winter and return in spring. Pricing a landscape job is complex but usually involves totally up the costs (plants, soil, other materials) and adding in a percentage increase then totaling up labor costs and adding an increase to that. It is usually good to also add in some for replacement of plants and return visits to make things right to satisfy the customer.

Thanks for the question. Best wishes for a wonderful gardening season. Please stop in again soon!
