Hi,
I have four different areas around my house as landscape gardens. My challenge is I'm trying to complete all four areas at one time and its very over whelming. Plus I don't know if the shrubs, trees and perennial I've selected goes well with each other. I need help in selecting the right plants that will bring beauty all year round to my landscaping areas. I would like to submit a picture of the area that needs help most? This area is my back yard, I would like help with selecting the right plants that will bring beauty to my back yard as this is where we are all the time. Can you help me in this area?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accept photos. To be honest, doing a landscape plan is beyond the scope of this Q&A program. You might consider hiring a professional garden designer or horticulturist to help you analyze the growing conditions in your yard and help you determine which plants would thrive in each area. Many designers will consult on site with homeowners on an hourly basis. If you know ahead of time what you want to ask, you can get a lot of information in just one hour!

You might also want to take a look at a book or two about landscaping. The Dummies series has some excellent books, they are very practical and to-the-point with useful information.

Another option might be to research the plants you are thinking of using. The following web site has excellent information to help you decide what types of locations different plants need.

Your local county extension may also have information and/or classes you could learn from.

All the best with your projects!
