The Q&A Archives: Vegetable Garden & Flowers

Question: What is your product recommendations to keep rabbits and other pests away from the newly planted herbs and blooming flowers.
Thank you.

Answer: Unfortunately, in my experience, the best prevention is a fence. However, some gardeners report that chives, onions, and garlic plants will repel rabbits. Others have had success using the repellent sprays based on garlic and/or red pepper or the commercial products sprayed on the plants. Still other gardeners report that a pet dog or cat on patrol can be helpful in deterring the bunnies.
