I've recently heard of a new type of rose, called the chocolate rose. Apparently it has "chocolate"-colored petals. Do you know the name of this rose, and how common it is going to become at nurseries in the coming months? |
I could not locate this rose myself, so I spoke with Jolene Adams of the American Rose Society and she reported the following: " I am aware of a rose named 'Hot Chocolate', grown in New Zealand. I do not think it is sold in the USA. You might try to contact the floral association "down under" and see if they can locate this rose for you." You might also contact Lowe's Roses, 6 Sheffield Rd., Nashua, NH 03062, ph# 603-888-2214. These folks are very knowledgeable, and might be able to direct you. You could also try contacting the World Federation of Rose Societies, 46 Alexandra Rd., St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England, AL1 3AZ -- they are an umbrella group for national rose societies worldwide. Sorry we couldn't be of more help! |
