Question: I would like to sod my front lawn due the none grown of grass (very shady lawn). The current grass is centipede and I want sod however, what kind of sod will do well in shade in SC (Columbia)?

Answer: About the only shade tolerant sod available in your area is "Celebration" Bermudagrass, a selected mutation of Cynodon dactylon, a hybrid cultivar of Bermuda, chosen specifically for its dark blue-green color, low growing habit, adaptability to light-moderate shade, and excellent drought tolerance.

Best wishes with your new lawn!
