The Q&A Archives: Gerber Daisies

Question: We potted a gerber daisy over a week ago. For the first 5 - 7 days is seemed to have been thriving, but for the past 2 days the flowers and the leaves have drooped over. The soil is not soaked, as a matter of fact we brought the pot in the house when we had 3 days of rain over this past weekend.

Any ideas why the gerbers are dropping?

Answer: Gerberas can droop if they need water; throughly water your plant, then drain off all the water collected in the saucer. The soil should be kept moist but not soggy wet. Let's hope it recovers! You may have to remove the flowers by cutting the strems close to the base of the plant. They like full sun.
