I have 8 lovely erica heathers which have been in my garden since 2002...they are nearly all BROWN with only a few sprigs of green emerging. We have had a bad late winter/early spring...should I replace them? Is there a chance they might come back?

There is a chance that your heathers will come back. Prune out anything that you're sure is dead and wait to see if they produce new green shoots from the crown of the plant. If they do not begin to recover by mid-summer, you may want to replace them. Hope they're okay!
